Conservation Club to meet today
LEOPOLD – The Leopold Conservation Club will meet at 7 p.m. today at the clubhouse.
Members are encouraged to attend. To become a member, call Susie James at 843-5974.

The meeting is held the first Monday of every month, unless a holiday falls on the date. In that case, the meeting is held the first Tuesday.

FCC amateur radio testing to be held Saturday
HUNTINGBURG – Those seeking FCC amateur radio licenses may attend a testing session at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Huntingburg Public Library, 419 N. Jackson St., in Huntingburg.
The session will be an ARRL VEC test session.

Euchre games set for Saturday
FULDA – The Fulda Sportsman Club will host a euchre tourney Saturday at the club in Fulda. 
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with play beginning at 7 p.m. The tourney will consist of six 20-minute games with prizes to be awarded at the end of play. 
Refreshments will be provided. The public is welcome to attend.

Legion to host party Dec. 31
TELL CITY – Tell City American Legion Post 213 will host a New Year’s Eve party Dec. 31 at the post home.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the public is invited to attend. Cost is $10 per person.

VFW members to celebrate history
TELL CITY – Members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Winchell-Vogel Post 2939 will celebrate its 78-year history with a dinner at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at the post home.
The dinner is for members only.
A dance, which will be open to the public, will begin at 8 p.m. and entertainment will be provided by Leo Gronquist and The Paradise Band.
Cover charge will be $5 per person at the door.

VNA Plus blood-pressure, blood-sugar screenings
TELL CITY – The Visiting Nurse Association Plus no longer offers free blood-pressure and blood-sugar screenings at Wal-Mart in Tell City.
Screenings at Twilight Towers will continue. The next screening will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Dec. 22.

German American selling candles for Relay
TELL CITY – The three locations of German American in Tell City are selling a selection of candles for Relay for Life.
The candles cost $7 each. Proceeds will benefit the 2012 German American Relay for Life team.

Hoosier Day in Sebring
SEBRING, Fla. – The annual Hoosier Day in Sebring has been scheduled for Feb. 4, 2012, at Homer’s Buffet at the corner of Highway 27 and Sebring Parkway across from Wal-Mart.
Sign in is at 11 a.m. and the meal will be at noon.
