Cemetery trustees to meet Aug. 20
TELL CITY – Anyone interested in the upkeep and maintenance of the Walker Cemetery in Branchville is invited to a meeting with the cemetery trustees at 2 p.m. Aug. 20 at the cemetery shelter house.

Yard sale to help local man
TELL CITY – A benefit yard sale is planned for today through Saturday to raise funds for Joshua Goatley of Hawesville, Ky., who needs a kidney transplant.
The sales will occur from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and will be at the Old Mansfield building, 1326 Main St., Tell City.
Proceeds from the sale will go toward Goatley’s medical costs.
An account has also been set up at German American banks under the name Joshua Goatley - kidney transplant donations to help collect funds.

Quilt show set for Aug. 12, 13
TELL CITY – The Lincoln Trail Quilt Guild will hold a quilt show Aug. 12 and 13 at the Evangelical United Church of Christ, 802 10th St., Tell City
The show will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 12 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 13.
Admission is $2. For more information, call 836-2800.

Sesquicentennial cookbooks available
TELL CITY – Due to a large demand, Mu Gamma sorority has ordered 200 more copies of the Tell City Sesquicentennial cookbook.
The books can be purchased at the Tell City Hallmark store or Celebrations on Main Street.
Cost is $10 per book.

Special Olympics car wash
TELL CITY – Special Olympics Perry County will have a car wash at Evans Tire, 112 Indiana 66, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13.

PC football sweatpants, shirts for sale
LEOPOLD – Perry Central football attire is now for sale to the public as a fundraiser for the school’s football program.
T-shirts, sweatshirts and sweatpants are available in gray and green with proceeds going toward food for players before and after games.
