Class of ‘69 reunion planning Tuesday
LEOPOLD – The Perry Central Class of 1969 will hold a reunion planning meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 6 at Marcy’s in Leopold. Those wishing to help plan the reunion are encouraged to attend.

Bingo at Legion today
CANNELTON – In addition to its regular Friday-night bingo, the Legion will host an additional Monday-night bingo May 5, 12 and 19, starting at 6 p.m.  

Ladies evening Friday at DCBC
TELL CITY – Deer Creek Baptist Church will hold a Christian ladies evening called “Sharing a Cup of Love”  at 6 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the church. All ages are invited to attend for fun and fellowship. Guests should take a carry-in salad, dessert and a coffee cup to exchange.

Texas hold’em at Legion Saturday
TELL CITY – American Legion Post 213 will have a no-limit Texas hold’em tournament Saturday, May 10 with a $100 buy-in and 80 percent payout.

No re-buys or add-ons will be allowed.

Sign in will be at 3 p.m.  and the tournament is open to the public. Contact JT at 548-8745 or the post at  547-8201 with questions.

Twilight Towers annual yard sale Saturday
TELL CITY – Twilight Towers will hold its annual yard sale from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 10, in the dining room at 1648 10th St. in Tell City.

A biscuits and gravy breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. A full order will be $2 and a half order will be $1.

Drinks will be 50 cents each. A bake sale and a raffle for a country-motif quilt will also be held. Raffle tickets will be $1 apiece or six for $5. Everyone is welcome.

Run For Your Mother Sunday
TELL CITY – The Run For Your Mother 5K run-walk will be held at 8 a.m. Sunday, May 11 in front of the Depot. Participants will run or walk in honor of their mothers for this Mother’s Day event. Money raised will benefit the American Colloid Co. – Perry County Leadership 2013 career paths fund.

There will be no refunds or transfers given. Registration will be available the day of the event for $25.

Riverfest meeting May 14
DERBY – The Derby Community Association will hold a planning meeting for the 2014 Riverfest at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the Derby Firehouse. For more information, contact Mary Holland at 836-4403.

Fulda craft and car show May 17
FULDA – The Fulda Sportsman Club will host a craft, car and tractor show Saturday, May 17, at the club.

The craft show will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Registration for the car show will be from 7 a.m. to noon. Prizes will be awarded at 2 p.m.

No registration is required for the tractor show.  A kiddie tractor pull will begin at 10 a.m.

Food will be available throughout the day, including breakfast items and barbecued-chicken and pork-chop dinners. For more information about any of the events or to rent a craft booth, call Jackie at (812) 357-5139.

Habitat seeks volunteer lead carpenter
PERRY COUNTY – Habitat for Humanity of Perry County is seeking a volunteer lead carpenter to oversee construction of future Habitat homes in the county and to coordinate the work of other volunteers.

The position is unpaid and serves an important role in the completion of homes that provide safe, affordable housing to local families.
