St. Meinrad VFD fundraiser Sunday
ST. MEINRAD – St. Meinrad Volunteer Fire Department will hold a Thirty-One Gifts fundraiser at 1 p.m. Sunday at the firehouse meeting room. New Thirty-One items will be available as well as refreshments and door prizes. Products for sale can be viewed online at www.mythirtyone.com/roseklem. Rome VFD chili supper March 8
ROME – The Rome Volunteer Fire Department will host a chili supper beginning at 5 p.m. March 8 at the Rome Community Center.

The evening’s menu will include a choice of plain chili or chili with grated cheese, peanut butter sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, assorted cookies and a drink. One refill of chili will be available with each meal. The country store will have pies, cakes, cookies, bread, candies and canned goods available for purchase. Wine and dine March 15
ST. MEINRAD – Team Happy of St. Boniface and St. Meinrad churches will hold its second annual Wine and Dine March 15 at the St.

Meinrad Community Center. Wine tasting will be from 4 to 6 p.m.
Pork-chop dinners will be catered by New Boston Tavern and served at 6:30 p.m.

Wine and Dine tickets are being presold for a suggested donation of $20 through Wednesday at The Village Hut, Spencer County Bank in Santa Claus, Hopf Equipment Inc. in Huntingburg, Tin Lizzie’s, The Abbey Press Gift Shop, Nobel’s IGA in Tell City and All in One Chiropractic or contact Kristina at (812) 660-0614.

Wine-tasting-only tickets will be sold at the door for a suggested donation of $10. Attendees must be 21 or older to participate in wine tasting.

Free financial workshop today
TELL CITY – The Perry County Public Library will present a free workshop titled “Protecting Your Assets” from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the Tell City branch.

At the workshop, Edward Jones Investment and Saybrus Partners will discuss asset protection, long-term- care planning strategies and wealth-transfer strategies to minimize taxes for beneficiaries. To sign up  and reserve a space, call the library at 547-2661.

Class offered for people with kidney disease
TELL CITY – There will be a free Kidney Smart Education class March 4 at 10 a.m. at the Fifth Third Bank Community Room in Tell City.

The class is free and open to anyone who has been diagnosed with kidney disease.

Family members are also welcome to attend.

Indiana 15 to meet Tuesday
FERDINAND – The Executive Board of the Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the commission’s office at 221 E. First Street in Ferdinand.

De-cluttering workshop Saturday
TELL CITY – Tell City Library will present “Your Clutter Free Home” from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. This program will offer tips from organizing expert Amy Payne on how to de-clutter and stay organized.

Participants will learn how to sort, organize and maintain a system that works best for them.

William Tell Center hosting line dancing
TELL CITY – The William Tell Center will host weekly line dances Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The center is located at 1307 11th St., two blocks south of Highway 37. Cost is $5 and everyone is welcome to attend.

Tractor Association to meet Thursday
BRANCHVILLE – The Ohio Valley Tractor Association will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Branchville Conservation Clubhouse.

The evening’s focus will be brainstorming ideas to help the Future Farmers of America. All members are encouraged to attend.

FUMC to host family fun night Saturday

TELL CITY – Tell City First United Methodist Church will host a family fun night at 5 p.m. Saturday in the social hall and sanctuary.

There will be karaoke, food and activities for the kids. Everyone is invited and proceeds will benefit the community.

Go Red for Women luncheon Tuesday

TELL CITY – Tell City Junior-Senior High Wellness will host its second annual Go Red for Women luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tuesday with guest speakers Kathy Scheller of the American Heart Association and Shelly Sherry of Perry County Memorial Hospital. The luncheon will be held at the high school at 900 12th Street in Tell City.

Twilight Towers breakfast set for Saturday

TELL CITY – Twilight Towers will hold a biscuits and gravy fundraiser  beginning at 7 a.m Saturday.

A full order will be $2 and a half order will be $1. Drinks of coffee, milk and orange juice will be $.50 each. There will also be a bake sale at the same time. Everyone is welcome in the dining room at 1648 10th St. in Tell City.

Wellness classes offered free at TCJSHS
TELL CITY – The Tell City Junior-Senior High School will offer boot camp and cardio sessions from 4 to 4:45 p.m. in the high school auditorium or room 612 free of charge to members of the community through a Welborn grant.

Boot camp will meet Tuesday and cardio will meet Wednesday. Makeup days will be March 4 for boot camp and March 5 for cardio.
