4-H Club to meet Tuesday
CANNELTON ­– The Community Service Innovations 4-H Club will meet from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at its new location at Agape Community Church, 101 Taylor St. in Cannelton. Club President Carrie Kimbril will call the meeting to order. All members are encouraged to bring a friend. For more information, call Shawn at 547-3229.

La Leche League meeting tomorrow
FERDINAND – A La Leche League meeting will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon EST at 1035 Virginia St. in Ferdinand. All women and their children are welcome. La Leche League provides mother-to-mother support and networking for breast-feeding, post-breast-feeding and pregnant women.

Mothers who wish to breast-feed their babies or have breast-fed will find encouragement and networking with other moms at the local La Leche League meetings.

La Leche League meets on the third Tuesday of the month. For meeting or breast-feeding information and help, call Karen at (812) 482-5265 or Pam at (812) 367-2449.

4-H open house Sunday
PERRY COUNTY – A 4-H open house will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Perry County Fairgrounds.

A free movie will be shown afterward. All 4-H families and potential new members are invited to attend.

Legion Texas hold’em Saturday
TELL CITY – American Legion Post 213 will hold a no-limit Texas hold’em tournament Saturday at the post home.

Sign-in begins at 3:30 p.m. and play starts at 4 p.m. There is a $15 entry fee and a $20 buy-in.

Payout is 100 percent. This event is open to the public. Contact J.T. at 548-8745 or the post at 547-8201 for more information.

Relay for Life to meet today
PERRY COUNTY – A Relay For Life of Perry County meeting is scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at the Tell City Moose Lodge family room.

Everyone is invited to attend to learn about the relay, sign up teams and help plan the event. For more information, contact Teri James at (812) 499-9476 or teresa.james-@can-cer.org.

TC High School offers public wellness activities
 TELL CITY – Several wellness activities will be offered free of charge through a Welborn grant during the month of January from 4 to 4:45 p.m.

All activities will be held in the auditorium. Lap swim will be held at the high school pool.

Piloxing will be offered Tuesdays through Jan 28; self-defense Jan. 22; tai chi Jan. 29 and cardio this Wed-nesday only.

Lap swimming will be available from 3:30 to 4:30 this Thursday.

Zumba-thon fundraiser Feb. 8
TELL CITY – There will be a Zumba-thon benefiting the Tell City Junior-Senior High School Marching Marksmen from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 8 in the auxiliary gym at the school.  

Door prizes will be given away every 15 minutes.  The school principals, Brad Ramsey and Chris Hollin-den, Detective Alan Malone of the Tell City Police Department, and Sheriff Lee Chestnut will be on hand.  

For a donation of $5 each per song they will Zumba with the group.  Perry County Wellness will provide bottled water for all participants.  Tickets prices are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.  Tell City student tickets are $10.
