SELLERSBURG—Perry Central made 26 steals and held Rock Creek to 13.3 percent field-goal shooting to rout the Lions 74-14 in girls basketball Tuesday.
The Commodores used a three-quarter-court 2-2-1 trap in the first quarter because “that was something I wanted to work on,” said Perry Central Coach Ty Guillaume.
He said it “caused them some problems. They were dribbling right into our trap.”
But after the Commodores got ahead by 20 points in that quarter, they switched to a 2-3 half-court zone for the rest of the game.
