Commodores shut out twice

REO—Perry Central had only three hits in 10 innings as it was shut out in girls softball road games Thursday and Friday.

Hilarie Hahus and Tara Claise hit consecutive singles in the fourth inning for the Commodores’ only hits in a 13-0 loss to South Spencer Thursday.

South Spencer pitcher Brooke Rust walked two and struck out eight in the five-inning game.

Kristi Brumfield pitched a complete game for Perry Central. She gave up 11 hits and three walks and struck out three.

Mitchell beat Perry Central 10-0 in a PLAC game Friday as Brumfield had the Commodores’ only hit.

Brumfield pitched the first 42⁄3 innings to take the loss. She gave up eight hits and eight walks and struck out three.

The Commodores finished the regular season 2-4 in the PLAC and 4-15 overall.

Despite their recent slump, the Commodores are still batting .249 for the season after hitting under .200 last year.

They will play North Posey in the Forest Park sectional Tuesday at approximately 7:15 p.m.
