TELL CITY - County commissioners approved in a regular meeting April 7 changes in the county-employee handbook that will incorporate recent changes to the Family and Medical Leave Act.
The National Defense Authorization Act for 2008 entitles eligible employees to up to 12 work weeks of unpaid leave for "any qualifying exigency arising out of the fact that a spouse, son, daughter or parent of the employee is on active (military) duty," according to information provided by Auditor Connie Berger.
