TELL CITY – County commissioners made a number of appointments at their regular meeting Feb. 4.
Former Commissioner Jody Fortwendel no longer wished to serve on the county’s emergency management advisory council, County Administrator Teresa Kanneberg said. Commissioner Randy Kleaving will fill that role.
The commissioners were awaiting word from the Tell City-Troy Township School Corp. on their designee for a nonvoting member on the Perry County Redevelopment Commission. New school-board member Larry Kleeman was the school corporation’s nominee, and incumbents Paul Malone, Bernard Hermann and Marvin Rogier were interested in retaining their seats, Kanneberg said. The commissioners approved all four appointments.
Fortwendel had also resigned his position on the Perry County Development Corp. Board of Directors, and Kanneberg said his replacement could be a commissioner or their designee. The only letter of interest she received was from Chris Cail. Commissioner Bill Amos’ nomination of Commissioner Tom Hauser was approved.
