Heritage Handcrafts Association to meet Tuesday

STENDAL – The Heritage Handcrafts Association will meet to plan for participation in The Winslow Lions Light Festival Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 6:30 p.m. EDT.

Tractor club to meet Thursday

BRANCHVILLE – The Ohio Valley Tractor Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28 at Branchville Conservation Club.

Memorial forest annual meeting Thursday

FULDA – The Spencer County Memorial Forest annual meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28.

Meat, drinks and dinnerware will be provided and members are asked to take a covered dish.

VFW breakfast buffet Aug. 30

TELL CITY – Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2939 will host a breakfast buffet from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30 at the post home. Cost is $6.50 plus tax and the public is invited.

4-H Council to meet Sept. 2

TELL CITY – The annual meeting of the Perry County 4-H Council will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the Perry County Fairgrounds, during which election of the 2014-15 4-H Council will be conducted.

Anyone interested in serving on the council is asked to contact Purdue Extension-Perry County at (812) 547-7084.

All residents of Perry County who are interested in the 4-H program are invited to attend the meeting and vote for new members.

Jamboree at Gospel Tabernacle Sept. 6

CANNELTON – Gospel Tabernacle’s song and praise jamboree will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Gospel Tabernacle’s outdoor pavilion, 5425 Girl Scout Road in Cannelton. The event will include contemporary praise and worship from 2 to 4 p.m., intermission and refreshments from 4 to 5 p.m. and southern gospel singing from 5 to 7 p.m.

Home-school co-op meeting Fridays

TELL CITY – A Christian homeschool co-op will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. Fridays in Tell City for enrichment classes, field trips and group activities.
