CANNELTON — “Your city’s business was in serious trouble,” incumbent Cannelton Clerk-Treasurer Mary Snyder told attendees at a candidates forum Tuesday. Her challenger, Democrat Arvina Bozarth, told them, “This is a very serious election we’re facing.”

Both were making opening statements intended to give voters a quick view of how they’ll serve if chosen.
