CANNELTON – A public hearing will begin at 6 p.m. Monday in Cannelton City Hall concerning city leaders’ intention to apply for a U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Office funding for 20 sets of fire-protection gear.

A closed-to-the-public executive session will follow the hearing at 6:15 p.m., where the council will discuss potential litigation.
