New year brings familiar, new faces to municipal government

Morris "Smokey" Graves, top photo, is sworn in by Perry County Judge Lucy Goffinet Dec. 27 in the city's council chambers. Goffinet also swore in the city's new clerk-treasurer and the five members of the city council, including her husband, Adam. Lynn Fulkerson, second photo, a member of Cannelton's Board of Public Works and Safety, was elected to the city council in November. She was sworn in last week. Elected to the District 4 council seat in Cannelton, John Young III, third photo, was sworn in last Thursday. Newly sworn-in Tell City Mayor Barbara Ewing, fourth photo, is congratulated by Perry County Clerk Debbie Elder Tuesday. Elder administered the oaths of office to city officials during a noon ceremony at City Hall. Bottom photo, District 4 Councilman Gary Morton, far left, is congratulated by Tell City's new mayor, Barbara Ewing, and council members John Little and Dianne Rudolph. Morton fills the seat held for four terms by Rick Greulich, who did not seek re-election last year.
