City Hall construction

City Hall in Tell City was a hub for New Year’s Eve activities last week. The building turns 116 years old this year.

This photo shows workers laying the foundation of City Hall  around 1898.

City leaders hoped the building would serve as a county courthouse and while that dream never materialized, the building continues to serve the city as a seat of government and a gathering point for citizens and visitors.
