Homecoming at Trinity Pentecostal in Tell City
TELL CITY – Tell City Trinity Pentecostal Church will host its homecoming Sunday at the church on 15th Street in Tell City.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. and everyone is welcome to attend.
Due to the homecoming celebration, services will be postponed at Our Father’s House Sunday. Sunday services will resume there at 9 a.m. Oct. 9.
Gospel music Saturday at Little Pigeon Church
LAMAR – Little Pigeon Baptist Church, located off of Indiana 245 near Lamar, will host a gospel sing at 7 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Performing will be the Cowen Creek Boys. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m.
Monte Cassino pilgrimages begin Sunday
ST. MEINRAD – Saint Meinrad Archabbey’s pilgrimages to honor the Bless-ed Mother at the Monte Cassino Shrine have been scheduled for the Sundays in October.
Pilgrimages begin with an opening hymn and a short sermon, followed by a rosary procession. The service ends with the Litany of the Bless-ed Virgin and a hymn. Speakers and topics for the pilgrimages are:

• Oct. 9, the Rev. Timothy Sweeney OSB, “Mary, Wo-man of the Mystery”

Teachings of Jesus explored
FERDINAND – The Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand are offering a program titled, “To Lead as Jesus Did,” that will show practical ways to follow Jesus’ example in a leadership role.
The program will be held Oct. 8 at Kordes Center in Ferdinand. The program will begin at 9:15 a.m. EDT and conclude with lunch at 12:15 p.m. It will be presented by Sister Helen Jean Kormelink OSB, formerly secretary for education and superintendent of Catholic schools in the Joliet, Ill, Diocese.

Oct. 7 prayer service planned
FERDINAND – The Sisters of St. Benedict will hold a special “Pray for the DREAM” prayer service Oct. 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. EDT in Monastery Immaculate Conception Church.
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Justice for Immigrants Campaign is promoting the prayer services in support of immigrant students and youth eligible for the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act.
Bethel Temple Bible to host Singspiration
EVANSVILLE – The Bethel Temple Bible Church in Evansville will host a singspiration at 6 p.m. Saturday. Doors open at 5 p.m.
The evening will feature Ryan Seaton Quartet, The Holders, New Heritage, The Wilson Family and more. Tickets are $5 and available at the Vineyard, Bethel Temple Church Office and at the door the evening of concert.
