Little Pigeon to host gospel sing
LAMAR – Little Pigeon Baptist Church, off Indiana 245 near Lamar, will host a gospel sing at 7 p.m. Sept. 10.
River City Quartet will be the special guests. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend.

St. Pius fall fest Sept. 11
TROY – St. Pius Catholic Church in Troy will have its annual fall festival Sunday, Sept. 11.
On the menu is the parish’s “famous soup” by the bowl and gallon, fried-chicken or roast-beef dinners, hamburgers, polish sausage, ice cream and homemade pie. 
Entertainment will include a live band, a giant yard sale and flea market, games for adults and children and a raffle. 
Serving begins at 11 a.m. Take your own container for carry-out soup.

Holy Cross to host annual flea market Sept. 17
ST. CROIX – The Holy Cross Catholic Church in St. Croix will host its annual huge flea market from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.
The market will include antiques, collectibles, books, clothing, household items, baby furniture, crafts and more.
Produce, baked goods and homemade jellies will also be sold and the annual huge raffle will be held.

Trinity UMC health fair in Rockport
ROCKPORT – Miller’s Merry Manor and Trinity United Methodist Church will host a free health fair Sept. 8. This is in conjunction with Trinity United Methodist Church salad luncheon at the church.
The health fair is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be vendor freebies and door prizes. Health fair vendors will include Miller’s Merry Manor; toenail cutting; Reo Deaconess Clinic, Dr. Wessel; bone-density screening; Wal-Mart vision screening; vision testing; Audibel hearing; hearing tests; Spencer County Hospice; blood pressures; Spencer County Council on Aging; lamination of medical cards; Progressive Rehab Therapy; grip-strength screening; Rockport Pharmacy; glucose testing; Senior Helpers; memory box activities; Rockport Encouragement Center, emergency-kit information.
