Agape day of celebration, Thanksgiving Sunday
CANNELTON – Agape Community Church, 101 Taylor St., Cannelton, will host a day of celebration and Thanksgiving Sunday.
A special invitation is extended to former members of the church.
A video presentation, special music and a fellowship meal followed by a mortgage burning ceremony are planned for the day.
Those who wish to attend are asked to RSVP the church at 547-2772 or e-mail agape@psci.net.
The church will also host a free chili supper for the community following the Cannelton Christmas parade Nov. 15. Grilled hot dogs, hot chocolate, coffee and treats will be offered along with the soup.

Thanksgiving candy sale under way
BRISTOW – The United Pentecostal Church is now taking orders for candy for Thanksgiving.
Fudge, fudge with walnuts, peanut butter fudge and peanut butter balls are $3.50 per half-pound. Peanut brittle is $2.50 per patty. Loaves of zucchini and banana bread are available for $4 per loaf. 
Orders may be placed by calling 843-5240. All orders must be placed by Nov. 17.  Candy will be delivered Nov. 21.
Literacy meetings postponed

TELL CITY – Meetings of the Literacy Program at the First United Methodist Church of Tell City will not meet through the holidays from Thanksgiving to February.

Annual Thanksgiving supper in Lamar
LAMAR – St. John’s United Church of Christ, County Road 550 and 1350 N. in Lamar, will host its annual Thanksgiving supper at 4 p.m. Nov. 19 at the church.
The menu will include turkey and St. John’s “famous” dressing, ham, au gratin potatoes, sides, salads, desserts and drinks
Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children between the ages of 3 and 10. Children 3 years old and younger eat for free. Carryout will also be available.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

EUCC set Thanksgiving dinner date
TELL CITY – The Evangelical United Church of Christ will prepare a traditional Thanksgiving dinner Thursday, Nov. 24. The meal will be served in the fellowship hall from noon to 1 p.m.
Anyone wishing to have meals delivered in the morning can call the church office at 547-7059. Anyone is invited to call the church to request a meal.
