Exhibit will feature ‘Art on the Hill’
ST. MEINRAD – A mixed-media art exhibit will be on display at the Saint Meinrad Archabbey Library Gallery through May 31.
The free exhibit, “Art on the Hill,” will feature ceramics, paintings and drawings by Saint Meinrad monks and photography by seminarian Jeffrey Estacio. The ceramic pieces are the work of Brother John Mark Falkenhain OSB and Brother Elijah Luckett, OSB. Paintings by the Rev. Harry Hagan OSB, will be on display, along with drawings by Novice Timothy Wymore OSB.
Estacio, a seminarian in his final year of studies for the Diocese of Lexington, Ky., will exhibit some of his photographs. For library hours, call 357-6401 or visit www. saintmeinrad. edu/library/library_ hours.aspx.

May pilgrimages under way

ST. MEINRAD – Saint Meinrad Archabbey’s pilgrimages to honor the Blessed Mother at the Monte Cassino Shrine have been scheduled for the Sundays in May. Services begin at 2 p.m. Speakers and topics for the pilgrimages are:
• Sunday, the Rev. Columba Kelly OSB, “Mary, the Greatest Human Success.”
• May 15, Brother Zachary Wilberding OSB, “The Heart of Mary.”
• May 22, Brother Elijah Luckett OSB, “Mary, Mother of Mercy.”
• May 29, the Rev. Denis Robinson OSB, “Mary, Queen of Peace.”

Church plans annual homecoming
CANNELTON – Freewill Baptist Church, 117 Second St., Cannelton will have its 43rd annual homecoming weekend, Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8.
Singing will be the The Epley Family from Mount Pleasant, Iowa and the Pearly Gateman Quartet Reunion. Singing will begin Saturday night at 7 p.m. Sunday school will be dismissed and Sunday services will begin at 10 a.m. with The Epley Family and the Pearly Gateman Quartet.
Following morning worship, there will be a carry-in basket lunch served in the fellowship hall.
Afternoon singing will begin about 1:30 p.m. and Sunday night services will begin at 7 p.m.
