Little Pigeon to host gospel sing
LAMAR – Little Pigeon Baptist Church, located two-tenths of a mile east of Highway 231 on 1250 N., will host a gospel sing June 16.
Refreshments will be served at 6 p.m. and the singing will begin at 7. Guest singers will be Harvest Gold.
All are welcome to attend.

Events at Deer Creek Baptist
TELL CITY – Vacation Bible school at Deer Creek Baptist Church will be from June 24-29 at the church.
The Bible point will be trust God and children participating will partake in crafts, games, snacks, music and more while learning about “God’s amazing love and how we can trust him in all we do,” organizers said.
The church hosts Talk-Pray-Walk each Sunday at Sunset Park in Tell City. The next session will be at 7:15 p.m. Sunday. All are welcome to join.
The church’s homecoming is set for July 29 with special music to be provided by the Conquerors Quartet.

Vacation Bible School set
TELL CITY – First Baptist Church invites children to its “Sky: Everything is Possible With God” vacation Bible school, which begins June 11.
Children ages 4 through students who have completed sixth grade will meet from 9 to 11:45 a.m. Monday through Friday of the week of June 11. Parents, grandparents and friends are encouraged to join the groups at 11:20 a.m. each day for the “Fly Away Finale” – a daily celebration.
At “Sky,” faith and imagination soar as kids will discover that everything is possible with God, organizers said. Kids will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, have treats, experience electrifying Bible adventures, make fun crafts and collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them to trust God. Plus, they will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through an activity called God Sightings.
First Baptist Church is located at 13th and Jefferson streets in Tell City.

TC Church of Christ summer kids’ event
TELL CITY – The Tell City Church of Christ will host a summer kids’ event from June 10 to June 13 at the church called “Sky.”
At “Sky,” faith and imagination will soar as children discover that everything is possible with God, organizers said. Those attending will participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, make and dig into treats, experience Bible adventures, collect Bible memory buddies to remind them to trust God and test out science-fun gizmos they can take home and play with all summer long. Also, children will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called “God Sightings.”
Each day will conclude with a “Fly Away Finale,” a celebration where everyone will get involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 7:50 p.m.
Kids at “Sky” will join an international mission’s effort to squash malaria in the African country of Mali – sending more than a million mosquito nets to protect Malian children.
This summer even is for children in preschool to sixth grade and will run from 6 to 8 p.m. each day. For more information, call 547-6778.

Community Christian to host video series
TELL CITY – An informative video series featuring Christian historian David Barton of Wall Builders, a national pro-family organization dedicated to presenting America’s forgotten history and heroes, will be presented each Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Community Christian Church, 821 10th St., Tell City. Barton serves as a consultant to state and federal legislators, has participated in several cases at the U.S. Supreme Court and has been directly involved in the development of history and social studies standards for Texas and California. Barton is a best-selling author and national award-winning historian. These presentations will include a short discussion period afterward and everyone is welcome to attend. No admission is charge or offering taken.
