VBS at Deer Creek
TELL CITY – Deer Creek Baptist Church in Tell City will wrap up its summer vacation Bible school, “Kingdom Rock,” today and Friday at the church.
Experiments, games, snacks, music and more is planned for participating children.
Each session will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and children in kindergarten through sixth grades are welcome to attend.

Bethel Baptist sets vacation Bible school dates
TELL CITY – Bethel Baptist Church in Tell City has announced its “The Battle For Truth” Vacation Bible School July 8 to July 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. nightly.
Emphasis will be a week of teaching youngsters to “put on the full armor of God so they can stand strong in the battle of truth.” Volunteers to help with classes are also welcome.

Fishing tourney, fireworks at Old Friendship
LYNNVILLE – Old Friendship Church will host a fishing tourney, dinner and fireworks display Saturday.  The cost of the fishing tourney is $2 per person. To pre-register, call Richard at (812) 202-8341. Registration the day of tourney will be from 5 to 8 a.m. at the church.
 Fishing will start at 6 a.m. Weigh-in will be from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Only hook-and-line catches will be allowed and contestants may fish wherever they want. Those participating must be present to be eligible for trophies and prizes. A free dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. The menu will consist of fish and all the sides. Those wishing to may take covered dishes to share. A fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m.
