Bristow Christian Church lunch Saturday
BRISTOW – The Bristow Christian Church will host a lunch at noon Saturday, followed by a showing of the movie, “Hiding Place.”
Menu will include chili, hot dogs and desserts. Reservations are not required, but would help organizers will food preparation.
RSVPs may be made by calling 547-9991. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Deer Creek Baptist’s Christmas party, breakfast
TELL CITY – Deer Creek Baptist Church is continuing Beth Moore’s 10-week Bible study lead by Cheri Taylor at 6 p.m. Thursdays. Anyone who wishes to participate is invited to contact Taylor.
The Ladies and Mens Sunday School class will host a Christmas party Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the church. The ABW Christmas breakfast will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Ponderosa in Tell City.
 A candlelight service and children’s Christmas program will be at 6 p.m., Dec. 16. The church’s Christmas service will be at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 23. There will also be Christmas caroling at 6 p.m. Dec. 23.
All are invited to attend.

No Other Name in concert Sunday

HAWESVILLE, Ky. – The Dove Award nominated Christian group No Other Name from Nashville, Tenn., will be in concert Sunday at Hawesville Baptist Church.  
The free concert will begin at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary located at 290 Main Street in Hawesville.

Winter schedule for Life Tabernacle United
TELL CITY – Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, 402 Ninth St., Tell City, will be on a winter schedule effective now until March 24. Services will be hold at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays.
All services are scheduled to return to their normal schedule time March 31. The normal schedule is as follows: 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sundays.
All services will be canceled Dec. 23 and Dec. 30. Contact Pastor Orville Harmon at 547-5727 for transportation or any other information. Everyone is invited to attend.

Gospel Tabernacle changes schedule

CANNELTON – The Cannelton Gospel Tabernacle Church will not hold its Wednesday midweek Bible study until further notice.
This is a winter schedule change and the service will resume again in March.

St. Paul’s to offer Catholic classes
TELL CITY – Classes for those seeking to learn more about the Catholic faith are planned and scheduled for 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through April.
Classes are sponsored by St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City but are open to anyone in the community.
The program will begin with inquiry sessions to answer questions in an effort to see if the Catholic faith is right for those interested. 
An invitation to attend the classes is also extended to anyone who has drifted away or who has been hurt by the church.

Christmas schedule at Saint Meinrad Archabbey Church
 ST. MEINRAD – The public is welcome to join the Benedictine monks of Saint Meinrad Archabbey as they celebrate Christmas in the Archabbey Church.
On Christmas Eve, vigils will begin at 7 p.m. and Mass will be celebrated at 10 p.m. Dec. 24.
The Mass of Christmas Day will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 25. Mass is celebrated each day in the Archabbey Church at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday and at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. However, during the Christmas season, Mass will begin at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 26 and Dec. 27.
Also, the Archabbey Library will be closed Dec. 22-25 and Dec. 29-Jan. 1. The Saint Meinrad Archabbey Gift Shop will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and 31, and Jan. 1.

Retired priest authors book
