Little Pigeon to host gospel sing Saturday
LAMAR – Little Pigeon Baptist Church, off Indiana 245 near Lamar, will host a gospel sing at 7 p.m.Saturday.
The Woodsman Quartet will be the special guests.
Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend.
Breakfast at St. Boniface Sunday
FULDA – St. Boniface Catholic Church parish family invites neighbors and friends to a breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 in the church parish center in Fulda.
The menu will include sausage, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon roll, fruit cup, coffee, milk and juice.
Cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children. Those attending will also be able to visit with Saint Nicholas during the morning.
Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the facilities and grounds of the historic St. Boniface church.
The parish center is located on Highway 545, south of the church. Take out will be available.
Hawesville UMC to host bazaar Saturday
HAWESVILLE, Ky. – The Hawesville United Methodist Women will hold their annual Christmas bazaar and luncheon at 10 a.m. Dec. 3. The event will be held in the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located at 360 Main Street, Hawesville.
The bazaar features home-baked goods, crafts and white elephant tables.
The lunch consists of a choice of chili or vegetable soup, plus a sandwich, dessert and drink for $3.50 per person.
TC United Methodist Women holiday sale
TELL CITY – The Tell City United Methodist Women will hold a holiday sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church on 10th and Mozart streets in Tell City.
Baked goods, candy, gently used Christmas decorations and toys will be on sale. White Elephant items will also be available and on sale.
St. John’s Lutheran Church bazaar Saturday
NEW BOSTON – St. John’s Lutheran Church near New Boston will host its annual Christmas bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 3.
There will be crafts, needlework and a variety of goodies, including apple dumplings, homemade candies and baked goods, including springerlies.
Turnip slaw, jellies and produce will be available. Soups, sandwiches and pie will be available through the day.
The congregation’s “famous” soup will be sold by the gallon. Buyers should take their own containers.
The public is welcome.
Literacy meetings postponed at First UMC
TELL CITY – Meetings of the Literacy Program at the First United Methodist Church of Tell City will not meet through the holidays from Thanksgiving to February.
