Ministry cookout Saturday
TROY – Keys to the Kingdom Outreach Ministries will host a cook out from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Indiana 66 and Indiana 545 at the stoplight in Troy.
Everyone is invited for free hot dogs and drinks.
Free items including clothes, kitchen items and furniture for local families in need will be available.

Ring to speak at Central Baptist Sunday

HAWESVILLE, Ky. – Nationally known speaker David Ring will speak Sunday at Central Baptist Church in Hawesville during the 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. services. Other special events include the High Attendance Sunday School emphasis at 9:30 a.m. and the Central Harmony Quartet in mini concert at 5:30 p.m. The congregation of Central Baptist invites everyone to attend.
Ring was born in 1953 and deprived of oxygen for 18 minutes at birth, leaving him with cerebral palsy.
Orphaned at the age of 14 after both parents had died of cancer, he was cast from family to family.
He has authored one book and speaks to more than 100,000 people annual.
Those attending are asked to arrive early as seats will fill up quickly.

Open Bible study continues in Cannelton
CANNELTON – First Baptist Church of Cannelton will continue to host non-denominational Bible study in locations throughout Cannelton during the month of August. All meetings start at 6:30 p.m.
The next meeting will be Aug. 20 will be at the Cando Apartments Community Room and a meeting Aug. 27 will be in the kitchen at the Golden Years Apartments.
Everyone high-school age and older is welcome to attend.

Deer Creek Baptist up coming events

TELL CITY – Deer Creek Baptist Church will hold a school, staff and Sunday school teacher appreciation and dedication day Aug. 11 at the church.
An ice cream social is planned for 6 p.m. Aug. 18 as well.
The church’s Talk, Pray, Walk group meets every Thursday evening at Sunset Park in Tell City to walk the greenway. All are invited to join.
Operation Christmas Child Shoebox items are still being collected. Preferred items for August include school supplies and small toys.

Ice cream social in Fulda
FULDA – Trinity United Church of Christ in Fulda will host an ice cream social from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 25 at the church.
The event will include homemade ice cream, sloppy joes and desserts.

St. Pius fall fest Sept. 8
TROY – St. Pius Catholic Church in Troy will have its annual fall festival Sept. 8.
On the menu will be the parish’s “famous soup” by the bowl and gallon, fried chicken or roast-beef dinners, hamburgers, polish sausage, ice cream and homemade pie.
Entertainment will include the Crosswinds band, a large yard sale, games for adults and children and a raffle. 
Serving will begin at 11. Those purchasing carry-out soup are asked to take their own container.
