Co-ed softball league starting in Perry County
PERRY COUNTY – A co-ed softball church league will start the first Sunday in Sept. Anyone wishing to play on a team must be 16 years or older and each team must have at least three girl players.
Umpires are also needed for the league. All organizations and churches are welcome to have a team participate. Cost is $200 per team.

Trinity United Church of Christ ice cream social
FULDA – Trinity United Church of Christ in Fulda will host its annual ice cream social from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28.
Sloppy Joes, chips and a variety of desserts will be served along with homemade ice cream.

Precious Blood picnic Sunday in Jasper
JASPER – Precious Blood Parish, Highway 56 W in Jasper, will host its annual picnic, Sunday, Aug. 21, beginning at 10:30 am.
There will be cash prizes, homemade quilts, “famous homemade soups,” chicken dinners, family-style dinners, games, bingo, silent auction items, a country store and much more.

Library opens exhibit on Rule of Benedict
ST. MEINRAD – Saint Meinrad Archabbey Library will host an ongoing exhibit of books and manuscripts from its collections, all centered on the Rule of St. Benedict. The exhibit runs through December.
