St. Paul TGIF set for Friday
TELL CITY - St. Paul Catholic Church will host TGIF - beer brats, burgers and band - Friday, May 30, from 7 to 11 p.m. in the church parking lot.

Entertainment will be provided by the St. Anthony area band, The Recycled Teenagers.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be canceled. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Blessing of the animals to be held Sunday

TELL CITY - Evangelical United Church of Christ at 802 10th St. in Tell City will host a blessing of the animals at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 1, on the grounds of the church. All area residents are welcome to take domestic animals to this event.

The Rev. J.T. Hills will briefly speak and then will bless all animals in attendance. Refreshments will be provided for humans and animals.
In addition, representatives from Perry County Animal Shelter and Matthew Labhart DVM, will be on hand to answer questions and distribute information.

Carriage rides will be offered and K9 units from the Indiana State Police and Tell City Police Department will be in attendance.

Owners are asked to have pets on leashes or leads or in carriers or cages. Water and waste bags will be available for pets.

Those wanting to attend do not have to be a member of EUCC or any church. Questions should be directed to the church office at 547-7059.

Lilly Dale Church of Christ VBS to begin Sunday
GATCHEL - Vacation Bible School will be offered at Lilly Dale Church of Christ in Gatchel, June 1 through 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The theme for the week is weird animals.

The program is open to children of all ages. A closing program will be held Friday evening. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy learning from Bible stories.
Food Pantry Sunday at FUMC
TELL CITY - On Sunday, June 1, Tell City First United Methodist Church will host a Food Pantry Sunday.

Contributors may make an offering during communion and also take boxed or canned items to support Jasper's Food Pantry in Cannelton.
Food pantries need help all year long and the congregation can make a difference by supporting Jasper's Food Pantry every month.

Items most needed are spaghetti sauce, pancake mix (water only), tuna and mayo.

Those unable to attend service that would like to donate may drop items in the church's shopping cart during office hours Friday or Monday, June 2.

Central Baptist VBS to start Sunday
HAWESVILLE, Ky. - Central Baptist Church on Highway 60 in Hawesville, Ky., will hold a vacation Bible school Sunday, June 1 through Friday, June 6, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each evening.

Friday will be family night. The theme is "Agency D3: Discover, Decide, Defend."

Classes are available for preschool through adult and dinner will be served each evening.

Kids will enjoy Bible study, crafts, games, songs and missions study. All VBS workers have completed background checks.

Bristow United Pentecostal homecoming set for June 8
BRISTOW - United Pentecostal Church in Bristow will host its 61st homecoming and 21st pastoral anniversary Sunday, June 8.

Sunday school will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a potluck dinner served at 11:45 a.m. A service and special singing will follow.

Jerry Hutchinson of Kinder, La., will be the guest speaker.
