Christmas in the Park events to follow Sunday's TC parade

TELL CITY - Several local groups are joining forces for Sunday evening's Christmas in the Park celebration in Tell City's City Hall Park.

Events will follow the city's Christmas parade, which begins at 5:30 p.m. Santa Claus, who will join the parade route, will visit with local children in the park as soon as he can dismount from his sleigh. He will pass out treats while carolers entertain with traditional Christmas songs from the City Hall balcony.

The winner of a Perry County News-sponsored children's art contest will be announced and the lucky winner will have the honor of lighting Christmas trees in front of City Hall.

The Tell City Beautification Committee, The Perry County News and Tell City Jaycees are sponsoring the event with city officials. For more information on activities in the park Sunday, call Kaye Kleeman at 547-5875 or City Hall at 547-5511.
