ST. MEINRAD – The Bloomington Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and musicians from Indiana University will present a free program of choral music Jan. 28, at 2:30 p.m. in the Saint Meinrad Archabbey Church.
The event is sponsored by the organ and choral conducting departments of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and the Bloomington chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
The 90-minute program will include compositions for both organ and chorus, as well as readings reflecting on the mystery of the Incarnation.
Works by William F. Bryant, Lauridsen, Alain and Rachmaninoff, as well as traditional Latin chants, will be performed. The works will be conducted and played by more than 10 different conductors and organists.
