Foster families offer safety, security to children impacted by parents' addictions

LEOPOLD - As an Indiana State Trooper assigned to drug investigations for much of his career, Sgt. Paul Andry is no stranger to the impacts of drug abuse on the men and women he's found tending methamphetamine labs, trafficking cocaine or selling marijuana.

But Andry's also seen the innocent faces of addiction, children who suffer, often silently, while their parents or other family members devote their time, money and attention to drugs instead of their kids.
