TELL CITY—Castle won 12 of 16 events to beat Tell City 96-36 in boys track Wednesday.
“I cut back individual events in preparation for Saturday (when Tell City was to host its invitational); otherwise we could have scored quite a few more points—especially in the distance races,” said Tell City Coach Zac Hartz.
He noted that the Marksmen “had a lot of season bests and personal records overall.”
Tell City’s Brennan Malone won both hurdles races, taking the 110-meter high hurdles in 15.62 seconds and the 300 intermediates in 44.45.
Caleb Sherry ran the 800 in 2:03.64, a personal record, and Brook Smith ran the 3200 in 10:59.85 for the Marksmen’s other wins.
