NEWBURGH - Zach Avallone won two events but Tell City lost to Castle 80-43 in boys track Wednesday.
Avallone won the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in 41.41 seconds and the long jump at 18 feet, 7 1/4 inches.
He placed second in the 110 high hurdles in 15.08.
Tell City sprinter Kyle Kessinger, still recovering from a preseason ankle injury, ran only one race but won it handily.
He took the 400 dash in 51.27 seconds, just one-hundredth of a second behind fifth place on Tell City's all-time honor roll.
