Cash Waggner improves to 3-0

TELL CITY—Natalie Sanders doubled home two runs in a five-run fourth inning as Cash Waggner & Associates beat Webb Wheel Products 12-5 in Tell City’s age-13-16 girls softball league Thursday.
Shannon Bryant beat out an infield single to start the inning and Madison Gilliland reached base on a dropped third strike.
Both scored on Sanders’ shot to deep left field.
After Mollie Ingle walked, Sanders came around to score on two wild pitches.
With two outs, Jordyn Vogt single to left to score Ingle.
Vogt scored the fifth run of the inning when Jennifer Trujillo reached base on an error.
Bryant and Sanders each went 2 for 3 to lead Cash Waggner’s five-hit attack. Bryant stole three bases.
Andi Rogier went 2 for 3 to lead Webb Wheel’s four-hit attack. Pool player McKenzie Kennedy drove in two runs.
Cash Waggner improved to 3-0 to remain in first place.
Wednesday’s games were rained out.
