CANNELTON - The Cannelton Christmas Parade will be Friday, Nov. 27. Harry G. Myers American Legion Post 142, Auxiliary 142 and Sons of the American Legion Detachment 142 are once again sponsoring the parade.

This year parade entries are to begin lining up on Old Indiana 237, across from Canary‘s Power Equipment, at 6 p.m. The parade will begin at 7 p.m. and will proceed along Indiana 66, also known as Seventh Street, to the stop light at Indiana 66 and Washington (Main Street), where it will turn right and proceed down Washington to First Street by the floodwall, where it will disband.

Tell City entries are to use either Mozart or Tell to get to Old Indiana 237 so they can line up without having to turn around on Old Indiana 237. Cannelton Entries are asked to line-up by 6 p.m. so that they will not have to turn around.

This year's parade will posthumously honor Cannelton Police Chief Kenny Kellems.

All businesses, organizations and individuals are welcome to enter the parade; however, any dirt bikes or four wheelers will not be allowed in the parade.

The only exception is if a four wheeler is pulling an entry.

All entries are asked to display the name of the individual, business, or organization sponsoring the float so the parade judges can see the name.

There will be first- , second- and third-place trophies awarded for both civic and commercial entries.
