Cannelton leaders to be sworn in today

PERRY COUNTY - Newly elected and re-elected city officials in Cannelton and Tell City will be sworn in during separate ceremonies today and Jan. 1. In Cannelton, officials will take their oaths of office at 5 p.m. today in the council chambers, located in the lower level of the city library.

Judge Lucy Goffinet will administer the oaths of office to Mayor-elect Morris "Smokey" Graves, Clerk-Treasurer-elect Arvina Bozarth and members of the city council. A reception will follow at Cannelton American Legion Post 142.
