CANNELTON—With its lack of depth, Cannelton’s girls basketball team usually plays a zone defense. But aggressive man-to-man defense helped the Bulldogs beat Whitesville Trinity 58-47 Saturday.
Cannelton trailed 31-27 at halftime after playing a zone.
“Then we went to man-to-man and started putting a little pressure on them, trying to force some turnovers,” said Cannelton Coach Mike Garrett. “We had Mikah (Hemmings) playing the passing lanes and Melissa (Clausen) pressuring the ball.”
