CANNELTON - Cannelton residents will see a 29-percent increase in their September electric bills, with another 6.12-percent rate hike to be included in their March bills, after a public hearing and council action Aug. 5.
In a mid-July News story, Utilities Director Phillip Ball asked residents concerned about the proposed increase to call him to find out how a proposed 35.12-percent rate hike would affect them.
"Maybe three people called in," he said Tuesday.
