Campbell earns service award

Carter recently recognized Master Trooper Thomas Campbell for achieving 30 years of service to the Indiana State Police.

Campbell is a 1979 graduate of Rivet Catholic High School in Vincennes and graduated from Vincennes University in 1981 with a degree in law enforcement. Campbell joined the state police in 1983, graduating as a member of the 41st Recruit School. He was assigned to the Jasper District to patrol Spencer County.

In 1988, Campbell became a member of the original Mustang Program, now known as the High Performance Vehicle Unit, a capacity he served in for 11 years, and has additionally served as a field training officer.

Campbell has worked with the Jaycees Pioneer Kids Camp for the last 20 years, helping at-risk youth. He continues to patrol Spencer County within his current assignment.

Campbell resides in Spencer County with his wife, Renee. They have two children, Christopher and Jessica.
