Chris Cail, left, president of the Tell City Historical Museum and local photographer Danny Bolin, right, presented noted county artist John Butler with a photo canvas of his painting easel which was on display during his art exhibit at the museum in April.
Bolin, who photographed all of Butler’s paintings for the museum to sell canvas and print reproductions, photographed his easel and applied painting stroke effects. Butler’s exhibit was one of the largest and most successful events in the history of the museum. More than 100 of Butler’s paintings were on display brought in to the museum by people all over the county. Butler, now 91, has retired from his painting and donated his easel to the museum.
