MONTGOMERY - Barr-Reeve escaped a bases-loaded situation in the seventh inning to beat Cannelton 5-2 in baseball Monday.
Cannelton loaded the bases with one out in the seventh, bringing the potential winning run to the plate.
But two fly balls followed (the first too shallow for the runner from third to tag up and score), ending the game.
Stephen Lane and Justin Dooley each went 2 for 4 to lead Cannelton's six-hit attack.
Lane pitched a complete game, giving up eight hits and two walks and striking out three.
