Bulldogs fall 56-29

ORLEANS—Cannelton grabbed only 21 rebounds in a 56-29 girls basketball loss to Orleans Thursday.
“We got off to a slow start and so did they,” said Cannelton Coach Mike Garrett. “Then in the second quarter they started hitting their shots and rebounding.”
Orleans outscored the Bulldogs 20-8 in the second quarter to build a 30-10 halftime lead.
Mikah Hemmings led Cannelton with 16 points and Allicyn Garrett added 10. Hemmings hit 4 of 12 from the field and 7 of 8 free throws and Garrett hit 4 of 13 from the field.
