Bulldogs edge Trojans, top Crothersville twice

-A A +A

CANNELTON—Brandon Cook’s bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the 10th inning gave Cannelton an 8-7 baseball win over Wood Memorial Monday.
That was the Bulldogs’ third win in a row, raising their record to 8-7. That is their most victories in a season in 17 years, since the 1996 team finished 14-15.
Jonah Day, Wood Memorial’s third pitcher of the game, gave up four walks in the 10th inning.
“He threw pretty hard but he was kind of all over the place a little bit,” said Cannelton Coach Mike Garrett.
