CANNELTON - Cannelton hit only 6 of 32 shots from the field in a 54-16 girls basketball loss to Orleans Thursday.
The Bulldogs trailed only 21-8 at halftime but had trouble getting the ball inside against Orleans' aggressive defense in the second half and usually settled for outside shots.
Orleans scored the first 18 points of the third quarter before Cannelton guard Nakaa Myers hit a three-point shot from the wing with 1:15 left in the period.
The Bulldogs did not score again until Chelsea Johns hit a three-pointer from the corner with 3:32 left in the game.
