BREAKING NEWS - Police seize marijuana, thousands in cash from Cannelton home

CANNELTON - Police seized nearly $40,000 in cash and more than a pound of marijuana from a Cannelton home late Monday night, leading to the arrest of the owner and his ex-wife.

Cannelton Sgt. Eric Dickenson said Edward "Junior" Harrison Jr., 73, of 301 Fourth St. and Mary Harrison, 60, of 314 Cavender St., Cannelton, were jailed on charges of possessing and dealing in marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia. Both were lodged in the county jail before dawn and face possible court hearings as early as this morning.
