TELL CITY - Perry County residents impacted by the Sept. 14 windstorm that damaged roofs and downed trees in many areas can apply for emergency food stamps through 8 p.m. Saturday at a temporary office located at 204 Indiana 66, next to Orscheln Farm Store. The office is staffed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Saturday. It opened Tuesday, but neither the Perry County Emergency Management Agency nor The News were notified until Thursday. Approximately 20 minutes is required for each application.
