BREAKING NEWS - Fleeing Evanston man survives, truck sinks in river at Troy

TROY - An Evanston man led police on a pursuit over county roads and through newly planted cornfields of Spencer County Thursday night before driving his pickup truck into the Ohio River at Troy. The suspect swam to safety and waiting officers but his truck sank in the fast-moving water.

Joshua D. Peters, 25, who lives at 7796 Indiana 70, faces preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, criminal recklessness, reckless driving, driving while suspended, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and destruction of evidence.
