The city of Tell City is kicking off its first-ever New Year’s Eve celebration with a myriad of activities followed by the dropping of a large apple. A new event, a post-midnight pancake breakfast, was added to the schedule this week.
In honor of the community’s Swiss heritage, an 8-foot diameter LED apple will be lowered on its 40-foot pole at midnight in City Hall Park. Fireworks will follow the apple drop along with the traditional singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
