Caty Lynn Brahm and Michael Cooper of Ferdinand were united in marriage during an afternoon ceremony Saturday Oct. 15, 2011, at St. Meinrad Catholic Church in St. Meinrad.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Bishop of Santa Claus and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Brahm of Ferdinand.
Mr. Cooper is the son of Mrs. Ophra Cooper and Dave Nixon of Santa Claus and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cooper of Birdseye.
The Rev. Anthony Vinson OSB officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Casey Brahm of Tell City, twin sister of the bride, was chosen as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Dezaray Mills of El Paso, Texas, sister of groom; Sarah White of Evansville; Rachel Hildenbrand of Mariah Hill; Amber Scherzer of Ferdinand; Jennifer Schwartz of Newton-ville and Shannon Donnelly of Santa Claus.
Destyne Mills of El Paso, niece of the groom, was a miniature bridesmaid and Jazmyne Mills of El Paso, niece of the groom, was chosen as a miniature bride. Flower girl was Brooklyn Mills of El Paso, niece of the groom, and ringbearer was Eli Lear of Evansville.
Gavin Burke of Santa Claus served as best man. Groomsmen were Jeremy Mills of El Paso, brother-in-law of the groom; Dane Kippenbrock of Lamar; Logan Leibering of Lamar; Derek Culbertson of Birdseye, cousin of the groom; Adam Werne of Dale and Danny Tempel of Santa Claus.
Organist at the ceremony was Brenda Meyer. Special music was provided by Amanda Campbell and Dave Nixon. Readers at the ceremony were Amy Patterson of Bowling Green, Ky., cousin of the bride and Pat-rick Clark of Paducah, Ky.
A reception was held following the ceremony at Fulda Community Center in Fulda. Karen Hildenbrand assisted at the reception. Haley and Bailey Pierson, cousins of the groom, registered guests.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cooper honeymooned at St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and reside in Santa Claus.
The bride is a medical assistant in Jasper. Mr. Cooper is employed with the Ironworkers Union.
