INDIANAPOLIS—Perry Central and Cannelton will start boys basketball sectional play Tuesday while Tell City drew a first-round bye.
Pairings were drawn by the IHSAA Sunday.
In the Class 2A sectional at Huntingburg, Perry Central will play the first game against Forest Park, one of the sectional favorites, Tuesday at 6 p.m. Perry County time.
That will be followed by South Spencer versis Mater Dei at approximately 7:45 p.m.
The Perry Central-Forest Park winner will play Tell City in the first semifinal game at 6 p.m. Friday, March 5.
That will be followed by North Posey versus the South Spencer-Mater Dei winner at approximately 7:45 p.m.
The championship game will be 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 6.
Cannelton will take on New Harmony in the first round of the five-team Class A sectional at Wood Memorial Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The winner will play Evansville Day in the semifinals Friday, March 5, at approximately 7:45 p.m., after Wood Memorial faces Tecumseh at 6 p.m.
The championship game will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 6.
Tickets for the entire Class 2A sectional are on sale at Perry Central in the main office today and Friday 7 a.m.-3 p.m.
They will also be available at Perry Central’s home games with West Washington tonight and Heritage Hills Friday.
Tell City is selling sectional tickets 8 a.m.-3 p.m. daily until noon Friday, March 5.
Cannelton is selling tickets for the Class A sectional 8 a.m.-3 p.m. daily.
Tickets for an entire sectional are $9. Single-session admission will be $9 at the door.
