-A A +A
By Larry Goffinet

BOONVILLE—Tell City won seven of 12 events but lost to Boonville 91-82 in a boys swimming season opener Monday.

Tell City did not have an entrant in the 100 butterfly so Boonville swept all three places in it. And the Marksmen’s only entrant in the 200 individual medley was disqualified.

Greg Clayton and Nick Bower each won two individual events for Tell City.

Clayton took the 200 freestyle in 2:04.70 and the 500 free in 5:45.67.

Bower won the 100 free in 58.53 and the 50 free in 24.89.
