Boonville beats Tell City

BOONVILLE - Junior forward Meagan Collins scored 15 points as Boonville beat Tell City 40-36 in girls basketball Thursday.

"She's an athlete," said Tell City Coach John Lyons. "And they're a lot better than their record (4-10) says.

"We didn't shoot the ball particularly well and our defense wasn't as good as it usually is."

Kara McClintic led Tell City with 15 points, including four three-point baskets.

Lauren Goffinet and Dana Sibrel each added nine points.
