Recently,  I wrote an article in the News suggesting the mayor and council take action about the eyesores on our streets;  namely boats, trailers, and commercial trucks.  Our city would look much better if these items were not parked throughout residental areas.  After my article was published,  a council member told me the mayor had no interest in correcting the problem.

I would appreciate feedback about this issue.  What are your thoughts? Perhaps we can encourage the paper to conduct a survey?

Thanks for your comments!

Nov-2013 update:

Finally, city council is taking action on this unsightly issue.  All of us need to press the council to insure they enact an ordinance with teeth, then see that it is enforced.  Call Julie Kohnert or Gary Morton and express your opinion.  They are chairing the committee.

City Council is formulating the ordinance and will discuss it at their next meeting.

Where is the public support for cleaning up our streets?
